City to celebrate Independence Day on July 3
Garden Plain's fireworks show and dance have been rescheduled for Saturday, July 10. The dance will begin at 7 p.m. in City Park, and the fireworks show will start at approximately 10 p.m.
Rain forced the postponement of the events first on Saturday, July 3, and again on July 4. The rest of the Independence Day events were held on July 3, and organizers said it was a success despite occasional afternoon showers.
The event is sponsored by the Garden Plain Chamber of Commerce.
Support the Chamber by purchasing buttons for $3, T-shirts for $10 and tank tops for $12. Please remember that animals, bicycles, skateboards and fireworks are PROHIBITED from City Park.
