Santa Day Craft Fair and Chili Cookoff set for Dec. 4
The annual Santa Day Craft Fair and Chili Cookoff will be held at Garden Plain High School on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The annual event includes and arts and crafts fair with many great holiday gifts items for sale from local and regional vendors. The arts and crafts fair will run 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in east gym at Garden Plain High School.
The annual chili cook-off will run 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and anyone can enter to compete for the $100 prize. Contenstants must have their chili to the high school before 11 a.m. Visitors can purchase a tasting kit, which allows them to try all the entries and to place a vote. Visitors can also purchase a bowl of chili from the Chamber.
Santa Claus and his elves will be there 2-4 p.m. to visit with children and pose for photographs.
The event is sponsored by the Garden Plain High School KAY Club, the Garden Plain Booster Club, and the Garden Plain Chamber of Commerce.
